Travel Advice
The best way to get to Winter Wonderland is via public transport. There are many nearby Tube and national rail stations. For a quieter journey, travel to and from Victoria, Bond Street and Paddington, which are all within a 20-minute walk of Hyde Park. Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Marble Arch stations are the closest stations but are expected to be busy and can sometimes be closed. When travelling to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, customers are advised to plan ahead, try and travel at quieter times and check before you travel.

Please note on Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December there will be no Piccadilly line services at Hyde Park Corner, so we would advise travelling to Victoria Bond Street, Paddington, Green Park or Knightsbridge instead.

Please consider our neighbours when leaving through the residential streets of Bayswater, Mayfair and Knightsbridge. Keep noise to a minimum and place any litter in the bins provided before leaving Winter Wonderland.

If you’re visiting with the family and want to land straight into Santaland, use the Red Gate. You can also pick up your Santaland Unlimited Ride Passes from the Santaland Pass Collection Office.

Heading straight to get your skates on at the Ice Rink presented by Moco Museum? Use Blue Gate as your closest entry point.

Green Gate
If you’re meeting with friends to head into the Bavarian Village, enter through Green Gate.
Closest stations: Knightsbridge & High Street Kensington
Gold Gate
Heading down from Marble Arch, going to the one of our Circus shows in the MegaDome or just want to snap a pic with the luminaires? Enter through Gold Gate.

Tube
The best way to get to Winter Wonderland is via public transport. For a quieter journey, travel to and from Victoria, Bond Street and Paddington, which are all within a 20-minute walk of Hyde Park.
Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Marble Arch stations are the closest stations but are expected to be busy and can sometimes be closed.
If you require step-free access or are travelling with a buggy, it is advised to use Green Park or Bond Street stations to make use of the lift facilities.
Santander Cycle Hire and Bus services are also available to help complete your journey.

Bus
There are multiple routes which serve Hyde Park. Please use the TfL Journey Planner for further information.
All London buses are accessible and there are stops adjacent to the event.
Cycling
Hyde Park has a ‘Quiet’ section of the London Cycleway running along Broad Walk. A public bicycle rack is provided by the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen café.
There are also three ‘Pay to Use’ cycle hire stations in Hyde Park.
Santander Cycle Hire docking stations are located at Hyde Park Corner, Albert Gate/Carriage Drive, Wellington Arch, Knightsbridge, Triangle and Serpentine Car Parks (in Hyde Park), Speakers Corner and Park Lane (Brook Gate) amongst others. E-Bike parking
We encourage visitors to use public transport when travelling to and from Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Dockless e-bikes are a popular mode of transport for people visiting the event. Please be aware that there is no dockless e-bike parking within Hyde Park. There are plenty of parking locations situated just outside of the park and surrounding areas – find your nearest here. We also have a large, dedicated bay located on the Marble Arch island. If parking bays are full please find another, please do not leave your e-bike on pavements, outside of residential properties, crossing points or entrances to the park as this causes hazards for pedestrians.
Car
We recommend that visitors avoid coming by car where possible. However, for those who do travel by car we recommend Q-Park which is a large and secure car park, fitted with extensive CCTV systems. It has entrances at Park Lane and Marble Arch – ideal for visitors to Winter Wonderland.
Please consider our neighbours and do not park in the residential streets around Hyde Park.

Taxi & Private Car
Black Taxis
There are lots of Black Cab taxi ranks around Hyde Park that are easily accessible from any gate. Please do not try and hail a cab on a busy road where the driver may have difficulty safely stopping.
The nearest taxi rank will be on Park Lane, opposite Brook House, but is expected to be busy at times. Where possible please use alternative nearby taxi ranks located on Hamilton Place, Piccadilly, Dover Street, Berkeley Street, Oxford Street, Orchard Street and Portman Square.
A licensed black taxi with its orange light on can be hailed off the street or from one of more than 600 ranks across the capital. They can also be booked by phone or app. Every taxi has a card machine so, if you don’t have cash, you will be able to pay using credit, debit or mobile payment.
Private Hire Cars
If you are using a private hire company, please be considerate when arranging a convenient location for the driver to pick you up, avoiding busy roads or small residential streets where possible.

Minicabs
Minicabs cannot be hailed off the street. They must be booked with a licensed minicab company over the phone, online, using an app or at a minicab office. You must receive a booking confirmation which will include the driver’s name, TfL licence number, vehicle registration and where possible a photo of the driver. A record will be kept of your journey, your driver and the vehicle they used. The driver can be traced in case of any problems.
Coach
Coaches bringing people to Winter Wonderland have the following facilities available on Park Lane:
Set down and pick up only locations
- Cumberland Gate southbound: north of North Row – One space mixed use loading/coach maximum stay 20 minutes
- Park Lane southbound: Dorchester Hotel – Three spaces, available 8pm to 7am and 10am to 4pm daily
Parking locations:
- Park Lane southbound: south of Upper Brook Street – One space, maximum stay one hour
- Park Lane southbound: south of Upper Grosvenor Street – Two spaces, maximum stay one hour
- Park Lane southbound: ahead of bus stop B at the Hilton Hotel – One space, maximum stay one hour
- Park Lane northbound: to the rear of Apsley House – Two spaces, maximum stay one hour
- Park Lane northbound: alongside car park retaining wall – Four spaces, maximum stay two hours. No boarding or alighting

Luggage
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland does not provide a left luggage facility. The closest left luggage facility is at Victoria Station.
We strongly advise not bringing large bags or luggage to event as we may not be able to accommodate these. We advise only bringing a handbag or small rucksack.
We ask all guests to be vigilant and not to leave bags and belongings unattended at any time. Any unattended item may be disposed of in line with our security protocols.
TfL Safer Travel
TfL enforcement officers and the police are working to improve the safety of travelling by taxi & minicab.
If you experience any behaviour of a sexual nature from a minicab or taxi driver, including comments of a sexual nature, please report it online at www.met.police.uk. If it’s an emergency, call 999.
You can report any behaviour that makes you feel uncomfortable, even if you think it’s not necessarily a crime. Call TfL on 0343 222 4000 (Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00) or contact them online.

Our top tips for safety and security
100% bag searches
100% bag searches are in place at all the event gates. Bags must be A4 sized or below, please be prepared to open them and show the contents for inspection. Suitcases, scooters and bikes are not permitted. If you’re lucky, you may see our friendly search dogs!
Have your tickets ready
Please ensure your tickets are download to your phone or ready to display in the official Winter Wonderland app ahead of your arrival. Security and stewards are in position along all routes of the event, please ask them for assistance if needed. They are there to help!
Guest welfare
In case of separation, arrange a meeting point with your group once you have arrived. If you have any welfare or medical concerns, head to one of our info points, box office or ask a member of security. If something doesn’t look right, report it to a member of staff immediately.
Prohibited items
Entry into the event is at the discretion of our security team.
- Bags – Only handbags or small rucksacks will be permitted into the event, as we may not be able to accommodate large bags. We class small bags as no larger A4 size or standard handbags. We ask all guests to be vigilant and not to leave bags and belongings unattended at any time.
- Food and Drink – Open bottles of drink/liquid are not permitted. Unopened/factory sealed bottles of water will be accepted, as well as empty reusable cups and bottles. No food, other than baby food or food required for medical purposes will be allowed into the event
- Photography & filming – Photography and filming is permitted for personal uses at Winter Wonderland. If you are an amateur photographer or you would like to enquire about press & media accreditation, please find the Press Pack on our website.
The following articles MUST NOT be brought into the Event. Any person attempting to bring any of the below items on site will be refused entry and their ticket will not be refunded.
- Powered or unpowered Skateboards, Scooters (unless otherwise permitted by security), or Bikes, unauthorised powered vehicles (motorbikes, quad bikes and buggies)
- Chairs/Stools, Banners/Flags, Sound Systems/items that can amplify sound
- Knives, Work Tools, Fireworks (including sparklers), Smoke canisters, Air-horns, Spray Paint/Cans/large marker pens, Chinese/Sky Lanterns, Laser devices, CS Gas Poles
- Flares (such as emergency or distress flares manufactured for legitimate military, maritime, or transport purposes), offensive weapons/potential weapons/anything adapted for such purpose, Any object/ item considered to be potentially dangerous or harmful to public safety being a single item or a potential component part for another object
- Bottles (unless empty, non-glass)/ glass vessels (including bottle/ cans- even if wrapped up as a present for a later time, Your own alcohol – even if wrapped up as a present for a later time
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UACs) commonly known as “Drones” or “Remotely Piloted Aircraft”
- Illegal drugs, Nitrous Oxide (in any form), Drug Paraphernalia including Psychoactive Substances and Alkyl Nitrates (otherwise known as Poppers)
- Corrosive substances including acids and substances which are capable on application to the human body of causing hurt through corrosive action
- Unauthorised or counterfeit merchandise, kites, musical instruments, counterfeit or forged tickets and wristbands or an access pass of any description, High Visibility Clothing, Handheld Communication Devices (such as radios)
- Any animals other than dogs
- Fancy dress costumes, or any items that could reasonably be considered to form part of a fancy dress costume.
Any other items which we consider to be unsafe or pose a risk to public safety and/or security
Any article that is illegal, might be used as a weapon, deemed to be offensive, abusive, or compromise public safety, will be confiscated and reported to the police.
